Tamilmarx Foundation deeply values the trust and support of our donors, supporters, and customers. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds or cancellations may be permitted for donations and purchases made via our official website or affiliated platforms.

1. Donations

1.1. Non-Refundable Contributions

All donations made to Tamilmarx Foundation are voluntary and irrevocable contributions toward our charitable objectives. As a policy, donations are non-refundable except in cases of proven technical error or duplicate transactions.

1.2. Duplicate or Erroneous Transactions

If you believe that a donation was made in error (e.g., duplicate charge, incorrect amount), please contact us within 7 days of the transaction with proof of payment and relevant details. Upon verification, a refund may be processed at our discretion.

Note - Any refund, if approved, will be made via the original method of payment and may take up to 7–10 business days to reflect in your account.

2. Product Purchases (Books, Merchandise, etc.)

2.1. Return Eligibility

Physical products (such as books) purchased from the Foundation may be eligible for return or replacement only if:

  • The item is received in a damaged or defective condition

  • The wrong item was delivered

  • The request is raised within 7 calendar days of delivery

Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

2.2. Non-Returnable Items

The following are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Digital downloads (eBooks, PDFs, multimedia)

  • Items purchased during special promotional campaigns

  • Items returned without original packaging or invoice

3. Order Cancellations

3.1. Before Shipment

Orders for physical products can be cancelled prior to shipment by submitting a cancellation request via email or our contact form. A full refund will be issued if the cancellation is confirmed before the order is dispatched.

3.2. After Shipment

Orders cannot be cancelled once the product has been dispatched. However, return may be requested per the guidelines outlined in Section 2.

4. Event Registrations and Campaign Contributions

Event registration fees or contributions made through our platform are considered donations unless explicitly stated otherwise. As such, they are generally non-refundable, except in the event of event cancellation or technical failure during the registration process.

5. Processing Refunds

If a refund is approved:

  • It will be processed to the original payment method used

  • Once the refund is requested, we will process and initiate it from our end within 5 working days. Once the refund is initiated on our end it might take 5-7 working days to reflect on your bank account.

  • Processing times may vary based on your bank or payment provider

  • No cash or cheque refunds will be issued

6. Policy Amendments

Tamilmarx Foundation reserves the right to amend this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. Updates will be published on our website, and kindly do visit to keep you updated to the latest version.
